Suspect strikes, robs victim at Delaware bus stop, officials say

The Delaware State Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a person who was waiting at a bus stop in New Castle on Tuesday night. Officials said that at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Sept. 15, troopers responded to the 3000 block of New Castle Avenue after receiving a report of a robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was waiting at a bus stop when a suspect approached and demanded their personal belongings. Troopers said the suspect then hit the victim and forcibly took their property before leaving the area. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said. The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating the robbery. Detectives ask anyone with information relevant to the investigation to contact Detective D.
