Man, 21, arrested in fatal stabbing of his father in Whitehall Township home

A 21-year-old man was arrested Tuesday evening in connection with the fatal stabbing of his father in Whitehall Township, according to the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office. Officials said Daniel Latorre Jr. was charged with multiple felonies after being accused of stabbing his father, identified as 40-year-old Daniel S. Latorre, on the evening of Sept. 15 at a home in the 700 block of Second Street. According to prosecutors, the investigation revealed that the incident began with a verbal dispute between a woman and Daniel S. Latorre that was recorded on a cellphone. During the argument, Latorre Jr. was armed with a pocket knife, which he used to stab his father, officials said. Authorities said the woman suffered a laceration to her hand during what appeared to be a domestic dispute involving the three people who lived at the home.
