Washington Commanders fans are getting their first look at what it will look like sitting in the stands at the new stadium once it’s complete. The team and design firm HKS released the first renderings of the new stadium’s seating bowl on Wednesday, “Inspired by the iconic RFK Stadium, these renderings bridge past and present by showcasing the team’s focus on recreating the loud, intense, and intimate atmosphere that defined the franchise’s championship era through a continuous, unified bowl,” the team said in a news release. Architects designed the new seating bowl in a way that will increase the capacity of the lower bowl and improve seating angles throughout the stadium in an effort to bring fans closer to the action at every level, the team said. The new bowl is also designed to rise in one continous sweep from field level to the upper deck to ensure clean sightlines and a shared viewing experience for the fans.
