National Security Agency Report Submitted in January 2025 "Might Have Saved the Six Lives" Lost in Petrohan Tragedy

Information which the State Agency for National Security (SANS) provided in January 2025 might have prevented the six murders in the Petrohan-Okolchitsa case, SANS Chair Plamen Tonchev said on Thursday. "Check the case opened by the prosecution in January 2025 based on information from SANS. It contains all the allegations and points that have been raised in the charges today. If someone had acted in time then, these people might still be alive," Tonchev said. Asked whether SANS had alerted the prosecution to possible paedophilia, Tonchev said that this was one of the allegations set out in the agency's document from January 2025. He added that an official report, together with supporting materials, was submitted to the prosecution at the time. On Monday, the prosecution service said that its conclusion that there had been no foreign involvement in the Petrohan case concerning the six people who died remained unchanged.
