Travelers weren’t showing Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) much love for the sixth year in a row, according to an annual survey conducted by JD Power . The survey asked passengers about medium, large and mega-sized airports, with PHL coming in last for overall customer satisfaction for large airports. PHL had a 596 on a 1,000-point scale, according to the report. The top-ranked large airport, Tampa International, had a score of 718, according to the report. The ranking comes after PHL rolled out $600 million in upgrades earlier this year, including improvements to restrooms, seating areas and transportation access. However, the score is based on passenger experience in 2025. On Tuesday, Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker and Department of Aviation leadership held a media briefing to discuss PHL’s recent performance and ongoing investments.
