In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we remember that Jesus's teachings suggest that receiving mercy should make us more merciful. "Matthew 18, verse 28 is a strong lesson on forgiveness. And his fellow suffered, fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, have patience with me, and I will pay you all. But he would not, and send him into prison. "Jesus tells the story of his servant who has been forgiven an enormous debt, yet almost immediately encounters a fellow servant who owes him a much smaller amount. Instead of showing patience, he grabs him and demands repayment. The contrast is shocking. He has received mercy, but somehow forgets what mercy feels like. "The difference between the two debts is enormous. The first servant has been forgiven far more than he could ever possibly pay. Yet the smaller debt becomes the only thing he can see.
