Korean Air Finalizes $44.8 Billion Boeing, GE Deal

Korean Air finalized a $44.8 billion deal to purchase 103 Boeing aircraft—20 777-9s, 25 787-10s, 50 737-10s and 8 777-8Fs—plus about $8.6 billion in spare engines and 15-year maintenance with GE Aerospace and CFM International, completing the Washington-plan announced in August 2025. The agreements, backed by government support, are intended to modernize the fleet, support capacity growth, and strengthen U.S.-ROK industrial ties as the airline moves toward integrating with Asiana.
