Surveillance footage shows the moments a car crashed into a popular Cuban restaurant in Kendall on Tuesday, setting off a gas leak and sending three people to the hospital. The crash happened at around 3:45 p.m. at El Palacio de los Jugos along Southwest 56th Street, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office. The video shows an SUV pulling into a parking spot but driving straight through the business. People are heard screaming and others rush over to help. One patient was transported to the West Trauma Center for treatment, while the other two were taken to a local hospital, officials said. The driver of the vehicle was among those hospitalized, along with two women, sheriff’s officials said. All were in stable condition. A gas company was notified about the leak, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said. This story is developing.
