The programme began on September 4 with a ceremony marking Immigrant Day, held at the headquarters of the Federation of Foreign Communities of Comodoro (Fedecomex), of which the Bulgarian society is a member. Representatives of the member countries gathered with their national flags. In cooperation with the National Directorate for Migration, certificates were presented to foreign nationals who have lived in the city and Argentina for 30 years or more. One of this year's recipients was a Bulgarian woman who lives in the Andes region of Patagonia. The Patagonian Pioneer Immigrant Parade took place on September 6, with representatives of the city's foreign communities presenting their countries.
