On Day of Sofia, Mayor Urges Sofianites to Do Their Share of Work for the City

On the Day of Sofia, Mayor Vasil Terziev urged Sofianites to do their share of work for the city. "Everyone should take personal responsibility for Sofia rather than expect others to do the work," he said at a ceremonial sitting of the Sofia Municipal Council marking the holiday Thursday. Terziev said he wanted this year's focus to be on responsibility, with each person considering what they could and should contribute to the city. He noted that people often expect solutions from political opponents, the mayor or district administrations without taking personal responsibility or doing what is necessary to improve the city. Sofia's future can be built only through joint efforts and personal commitment, Terziev said, urging residents to consider what more they could do to make the city better and leave something better for future generations.
