Every Bulgarian and every child in small settlements has the right to equal access to quality education, said Prime Minister Rumen Radev here on Tuesday. Together with Minister of Education and Science Georgi Valchev, the head of State opened the new school year at the Hristo Botev Primary School in the village of Rakovitsa. In his words, educational processes in small and remote settlements serve as an indicator of the government’s political will regarding Bulgaria’s future development. "Our goal is for every school and every child in our country to have equal access to quality education," Radev added. The Prime Minister also said that the school in Rakovitsa teaches only children from seven villages in the area and is a pillar for preserving life and Bulgarian identity in this region. Four years after the fire at the school building in 2022, the pupils’ temporary accommodation has become permanent, Radev noted.
