The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the Smithfield Utah Temple will be dedicated next spring, following a public open house. The Smithfield Utah Temple will be dedicated next year on Sunday, April 18, by Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, per a church press release published Monday. The temple’s scheduled dedication falls just over six months after the Ephraim Utah Temple is dedicated on Oct. 11. The scheduled dedication will also closely follow the start of the Salt Lake Temple’s six-month open house on April 1.
