Girl walks away uninjured after truck runs over her in Northeast Philadelphia

A girl escaped serious injury after being run over and dragged by a truck in Northeast Philadelphia. Back on Friday, Sept. 11, the girl, who was wearing a backpack, was crossing the street shortly after school let out when a truck that had been stopped began moving forward. Surveillance video of the incident shows the truck ran over the girl and dragged her a short distance. Neighborhood residents and workers from a nearby jewelry store rushed to help her. They then pulled the girl from underneath the truck. Despite being run over, the girl had few scrapes and was able to walk away and return home. Police were not called and did not respond to the scene. People in the neighborhood are calling the girl’s escape a “miracle.”
