Well, at least Florida man smells fresh after his latest absurdity. At about 7 a.m. on Monday, a 22-year-old man from Auburndale was driving a GMC Sierra pickup west on the Polk Parkway. We’ll let the Florida Highway Patrol’s news release take it from here. “Near the 14 Milepost, while traversing a curve in the roadway and simultaneously applying deodorant, the driver collided with a crash attenuator and came to rest atop a concrete barrier wall,” the news release states. The driver was not hurt. Perhaps just as hilariously, the Highway Patrol later issued an updated news release. “Following several inquiries, Troopers were able to confirm it was a stick deodorant and not a spray deodorant located at the crash site,” the update stated. Noted. The Highway Patrol did not say whether the driver will be cited.
