Man accused of sexually battering 18-year-old on cruise ship that left Miami

A man is facing charges after an 18-year-old accused him of sexually battering her on a cruise ship before they returned to Miami, authorities said. Cody Gray, 34, was arrested Saturday on charges of sexual battery and giving alcohol to a minor, an arrest report said. According to the report, Gray and the 18-year-old were passengers on the cruise that left Sept. 6 from PortMiami and returned Saturday. The report didn’t name the ship or cruise company. Early Saturday, the victim went to a club on the ship and had an alcoholic beverage on her own, and while she was there she met Gray, who gave her three more drinks, the report said. She told Gray she didn’t want to have sex with him but she became drunk and the two walked to his cabin where they had sex, they report said. The 18-year-old was unconscious after having sex, but her parents were found and directed to Gray’s cabin, the report said.
