15-year-old boy accused of stealing, trying to steal vehicles in Delaware

A 15-year-old boy faces multiple charges after police said he is linked to vehicle thefts and attempted thefts in New Castle County, Delaware. According to New Castle County Police, around 1:40 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, officers were called to the 800 block of Sabina Circle in the Pine Woods Townhouses community after receiving a report of an attempted vehicle theft. When officers got to the scene, police said they found the suspect, a 15-year-old boy from Newark, Delaware and took him into custody. Police said an investigation revealed that the teen also attempted to steal another vehicle in the 800 block of Sabina Circle. The teen was also connected to a separate vehicle theft that happened back on Aug. 3, 2026, according to police. In that incident, a vehicle had been stolen overnight from the 300 block of Scotland Drive in the Aspen Run Apartments community. The vehicle was recovered the following morning with damage. Police said the teen was charged with three felony counts
