There are few filmmakers better suited to inherit the “Bad Lieutenant” mantle than Takashi Miike . The prolific Japanese filmmaker has spent decades making movies about cops, criminals, yakuza, and assorted degenerates. His characters rarely have functioning moral compasses. His latest, “ Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo ,” takes that sensibility and drops it into a grimy Tokyo noir. A new trailer offers a much better look at the trouble ahead.
