For reasons of economic efficiency and logistics, a chemical manufacturer is just as unlikely to build a plant in Mililani as a carmaker is to set up an assembly line in Kakaako. But a new high-tech field is burgeoning, one that could make its way to Hawaii’s shores: artificial intelligence.
