The Danube River’s water level has fluctuated for over 24 hours along the Bulgarian section, the Executive Agency for Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River in Ruse said on Tuesday. Levels rose by 1 cm near Novo Selo, Lom and Oryahovo, while other monitoring stations recorded declines of 1 to 3 cm, the executive agency noted. At Ruse, the river stood at 125 cm below the reference zero level on Tuesday, down 3 cm since Monday. It is expected to fall by another 1 cm until Thursday. No vessels have run aground in or outside the navigation channel over the past 24 hours. "The hydrological situation remains challenging, with all draft restrictions on vessels still in effect along the entire Bulgarian stretch of the river", the executive agency pointed out.
