Drunk-driving Uzulnieks will remain on election lists

Reinis Uzulnieks, the leader of the Zemgale region list for the Union of Greens and Farmers (ZZS), who was caught drink-driving this weekend, can no longer be removed from the list of candidates for the Saeima elections by either his party or the Central Election Commission (CVK). This would require a conviction, which is unlikely in the time remaining before the election, Ritvars Eglājs, Secretary of the Central Election Commission (CVK), told LSM.lv.
