The National Crime Agency (NCA) has exposed an "evil" tactic used by smuggling gangs to tempt migrants across the Channel. People smugglers are using "coded language" on TikTok to lure migrants to make the perilous crossing. Online accounts are using artificial intelligence-generated images of lions, emojis of “ninjas”, Union Flags or boats and planes, to avoid detection from officers. Now, a leading NCA investigator has said the videos aim to tempt those desperate enough to make the dangerous journey "for almost all migrants arriving" in Britain.
