The Atlantic Launches New Weekly Video Podcast, The Permanent Questions With David Brooks

Today The Atlantic is launching The Permanent Questions , a new video podcast hosted by staff writer David Brooks about the fundamental questions of human life that every generation—and every individual—must attempt to answer. In new episodes publishing every Sunday, David will engage thinkers, writers, and artists in conversations about what makes us human, what gives life meaning, and how we can build richer relationships and a more just society. For the first episode , available today, David is joined by Meghan Sullivan, the Wilsey Family College Professor of Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame, to consider what it means to live a good life. In an introduction to the show, David says: “There are a lot of shows about politics and business and health and tech, but there aren’t enough about the really big questions of life.” The podcast builds on David’s decades of writing about political, cultural, moral, and social issues.
