Libyan Ambassador Receives Bulgarian State Honour

President Iliana Iotova awarded the Order of the Madara Horseman to Libyan Ambassador Abu Baker Saleh at a ceremony at the Presidency on Friday, recognizing his outstanding contribution to strengthening bilateral relations. The head of State said the difficult situation in the country required international recognition, assistance and dialogue. She praised Ambassador Saleh's contribution to bilateral ties and expressed hope for future joint projects, noting the contribution of Bulgarian specialists who had worked in Libya and Libyan students who had studied in Bulgaria. Saleh said six decades of bilateral relations had deepened across political, economic, cultural and people-to-people dimensions, creating solid foundations for a lasting partnership. He said it had been a privilege for him to contribute to the relations of the two countries.
