Lt. Gov. Nancy Dahlstrom first took Treg Taylor and Jose Tagle off the November ballot because of an APOC determination that they did not follow candidate financial disclosure laws. Then she changed her mind and put them back on the ballot, saying that other candidates broke the rules too — without initially citing any examples or showing us the Department of Law review that allegedly backs her up on the reversal. What can we learn from this? You don’t have to follow the law in Alaska if you are a Republican. What can we do about it? Let’s get rid of these rule breakers.
