Dr. Annie Andrews is trying to go from the doctor’s office to the United States Senate. The longtime pediatrician is taking on Darline Graham this November. She says she invited Republicans who are frustrated with the primary to look her up and try something new. The Political Beat’s Joe Bruno spoke to her about the race. “I’m not a career politician, and I don’t want to be a career politician. I’m a pediatrician who spent my entire career taking care of sick and injured children. I’m also a public school mom right here in South Carolina,” Dr. Andrews said. “I say what I mean, and I mean what I say. I will always tell you the truth. I will work across the aisle to solve the problems that South Carolinians are facing.” >> You can watch the full interview in the video at the top of the page.
