Doncaster Rovers manager Grant McCann has revealed he was diagnosed with malignant melanoma last year and believes he could have had just weeks to live had it not been discovered. The 46-year-old opened up about his frightening health ordeal while discussing the pressure he is facing following his side’s difficult start to the League One season. Doncaster remain without a league victory after five matches, but McCann insisted the demands of football pale in comparison with the moment he was informed that he had skin cancer. "If we want to talk about pressure then the pressure that came on me Christmas time last year when the doctor came to see me at the training ground to tell me I had a malignant melanoma, that’s pressure," he said.
