Bulgarian Athletics Federation President, Bulgarian Olympic Committee Secretary General Meet with Armenian Delegation

Bulgarian Athletics Federation President Georgi Pavlov and Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) Secretary General Danail Dimov have met at the BOC headquarters with Armenian Tennis Federation President Vardan Zakaryan. Also attending the meeting was Davit Chibukhchyan, who presented the Tsaghkadzor Sport Center, located 2,000 metres above sea level and just 40 minutes from the Armenian capital Yerevan. The sports centre was opened in 1967 as a high-altitude training facility for Soviet athletes preparing for the Olympic Games in Mexico City. The 55-hectare complex features sports halls, swimming pools, playing fields and a hotel complex. Zakaryan congratulated the federation president on the strong performances by Bulgarian athletes at major international competitions, as well as the successes of Galina Nikolova and Stiliyan Orlinov at the athletics tournament in Kapan, Armenia's third-largest city.
