A Boston federal judge ordered an immigrant freed immediately last week after concluding he can no longer treat ICE arrest reports, such as the one used to keep the man locked up, as inherently truthful. An immigration judge - a Justice Department functionary, not a member of the independent judiciary - had ordered Eleandro Almeida De Souza kept behind bars as a flight risk following his August grabbing, rather than releasing him on bond while he sought to stay in the US, based on an ICE incident report that claimed ICE agents, identified with "ICE" on their uniforms, and with their body cameras activated, had pulled him over and asked that he step out of his car, but that he instead bolted, leading them on a foot chase in which he jumped over numerous fences before they finally collared him. Only problem is, Almeida De Souza told a different story, that he was "violently" cut off by one car and then boxed in by several others and he ran out of fear he might be about to be carjacked. A
