MPs to Choose Supreme Judicial Council Members from 20 Parliamentary-Quota Candidates

All 20 nominations for members of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) from the parliamentary quota have been published on the website of the National Assembly. MPs will have to elect 11 members from among them — six to serve on the Judges Chamber and five on the Prosecutors Chamber. MPs from Progressive Bulgaria have nominated Krasimir Komsalov, Stefan Milev, Milena Karagyozova, Ivan Kalibaltsev and Ekaterina Getova for the Prosecutors Chamber. Tsvetko Lazarov, Petyo Slavov, Ivan Ranchev, Kalin Batalski, Silvia Tsanova, Aneta Antonova and Mihail Malchev have been nominated for the Judges Chumber. MPs from Continue the Change have nominated Vasil Pandov, Svetlozar Georgiev, Evgeniy Staykov and Tanya Radulovska-Madamzhieva for the Judges Chamber. For the Prosecutors Chamber, they have nominated Emil Dechev, Veselin Vuchkov and Andrey Yankulov.
