Mario Kart World's free update 1.8.0, out September 9, 2026, unlocks ten SNES circuits from the 1992 original Super Mario Kart as competitive race tracks -- all at no charge to the game's 15.39 million owners. The tracks were already embedded in the open world since launch; Nintendo reclassified existing geometry into selectable races.
