‘Keep the faith': Sister of missing DC woman shares message as investigation intensifies

It’s been a full week since Antoinette Forbes was last seen near her home in Northwest D.C. The investigation into Forbes’ disappearance appeared to have intensified in the last couple of days as investigators could be seen going in and out of her home, taking photos and canvassing her car. Forbes’ friends and family said she’s a mother who has lived in the D.C. area for more than 30 years. Her sister had this direct message for Forbes: “Do not lose hope. We are going to find you. Just keep the faith, keep the faith. You’re going to come home,” Aileen Forbes said. Antoinette Forbes was last seen about 3 p.m. Friday in the 3200 block of Nebraska Avenue NW near Foxhall Road. She last responded to a text on Saturday morning. A friend later checked in on her home and found her phone, wallet, keys, car and dog left behind – with no sign of Forbes. According to Forbes’ friends, police indicated that no one was allowed inside the home and they appeared to be treating the house as a crime scen
