Don’t throw out that old car seat or stroller yet, parents. Target’s popular fall Car Seat Trade-in Event for fall 2026 begins this month, giving parents and caregivers the chance to trade-in their used baby gear for a coupon. According to the retailer, the trade-in event for fall runs Sept. 20 through Oct. 13. It’s Target’s final baby gear trade-in event of the year, with the next one expected in spring 2027. Anyone who brings in an old car seat to Target during those weeks will receive a 20% off coupon towards a new car seat, car seat base, travel system or stroller. Select baby gear is included too, including playards, high chairs, swings, rockers, bouncers, walkers and jumpers, Target said. Any car seat will be accepted and recycled Target said, including infant car seats, convertible car seats, bases, harnesses or boosters. Car seats that are damaged or expired will also be accepted. Drop-off boxes with instructions for the program will be located near Guest Services inside Target
