Three years after his final NFL appearance, cornerback and safety Eric Rowe has officially announced his retirement from football. Rowe, who won two Super Bowls with the New England Patriots , announced the news in an emotional post on Instagram. Rowe was a key part of the Patriots dynasty under Bill Belichick and Tom Brady Getty “It’s hard to put into words what this game has meant to me . Football has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember,” Rowe posted. “I’ve experienced so much of my journey from childhood to adulthood through the eyes of this game. ” Every stage brought different challenges, different victories, different lessons, and memories that I’ll carry with me forever. “I’m incredibly grateful to every coach, teammate, trainer, staff member, and organization that gave me an opportunity and played a part in my journey.
