Japanese Culture Day to Take Place in Vratsa on September 12

Vratsa will host Japanese Culture Day on September 12, the municipality said on Wednesday. The event will feature a varied programme celebrating Japanese culture and traditions. The official opening will take place in front of the municipal building. The programme includes a Japanese folktale reading, a presentation on Japanese culture and lifestyle, origami workshops for children, calligraphy and ikebana workshops, and a lecture by Stella Zhivkova. Visitors will also be able to see traditional Japanese summer kimonos, watch karate and judo demonstrations, and attend a sushi-making demonstration and tasting. Displays of modern Japanese cars and motorcycles, as well as high-tech agricultural machinery, will showcase Japan’s achievements in technology and innovation. Some local restaurants will also serve traditional Japanese drinks. The event is jointly organized by Vratsa Municipality and the Japanese Embassy in Bulgaria.
