Strike action by international carriers and heavy goods vehicles from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina is planned for September 14, the Foreign Ministry said on its website. Carriers from Montenegro and North Macedonia are also expected to join the strike action. All entry and exit terminals for heavy goods transport at land border crossing points in the territories of the countries concerned are expected to be blocked, including border crossings bordering Schengen Area member states, including Bulgaria. The Ministry recommends that Bulgarian citizens, particularly heavy goods vehicle drivers planning to travel through or transit Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and/or Montenegro, check the current traffic situation in the respective countries in advance. The ministry also advises international carriers and vehicle drivers, where possible, to plan alternative routes. If assistance is needed, Bulgarian citizens may contact the diplomatic or consular missions of Bulgaria
