Glagolitic Script Exhibition Opens in Sofia with Projects from Nine Countries

With Glagolitic Script Around the World, an exhibition featuring over 200 projects from nine countries, opened at Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) in Sofia on Wednesday. The exhibition is organized by the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad (EABA) and brings together individual and group creative projects in BNR’s Marble Foyer. The event was hosted by Anzhela Georgieva of EABA. She welcomed the guests and said the project was being presented in Sofia for the first time, connecting history with the present, art with memory, and the present with the future. Georgieva recalled that the Glagolitic script was the first Slavic alphabet, created by Saints Cyril and Methodius. "It is part of our spiritual memory, our history and that invisible sense of belonging that connects us, regardless of where we are in the world," Georgieva said.
