Artists, University Lecturers, Scientists Among Founders of Nomination Committee for Gurov-Kandev Presidential Bid

Creators, artists, writers, university lecturers, and scientists are among the founders of the Nomination Committee to back Andrey Gyurov and Georgi Kandev as candidates for president and vice president in the October 25 elections. The founding meeting took place at the Toplocentrala Centre for Contemporary Arts in Sofia on Thursday. At the event, the charter establishing the Nomination Committee was adopted. It will have two co-chairs - opera singer Alexandrina Pendatchanska and journalist Konstantin Valkov, said Hristo Hristov of the Committee. It has over 200 members, including creators, artists, writers, university lecturers, scientists, and people who have succeeded in their fields, who are well-known and active in society, and who have held various government posts, he noted. They serve as an example of how one can succeed when there is a normal environment for development, Hristov remarked.
