Met Police launches urgent manhunt as man described as 'risk to women' goes on the run for third time

The Metropolitan Police has launched an urgent manhunt for a man previously described as a "risk to women". Balasankar Narayanan, 46, went on the run from his care facility in Ilford, East London, marking the third time he has fled from supervised care. The 46-year-old escaped in South Park last Thursday at around 2pm while on escorted leave. During his first escape in August 2024, officers described him as violent and "a risk to women" after he escaped a facility while on a walk with staff at the park. Officers have no current concerns relating to him committing a sexual offence or any escalation in risk.
