Hazardous chemicals found at former military site in Šumava National Park

A survey in Šumava National Park has uncovered 200 barrels containing hazardous chemicals and around 1,000 tonnes of contaminated soil at a former military training area used by the Czechoslovak army. A clean-up operation has been launched that will cost millions of crowns and is expected to take several years.
