100 Embassies, Consulates General Included in List of Polling Stations for Upcoming Presidential Election

A total of 100 embassies, consulates general and consulates of Bulgaria are included in the list of locations where polling stations are to be opened in connection with the upcoming presidential election on October 25, it was announced Tuesday by Central Election Commission (CEC) spokesperson Stoyanka Balova-Tsvetkova during a news briefing on the conduct of the election. Some of the locations have already been confirmed, and the CEC has approved the list provided by the MFA of Bulgarian diplomatic missions abroad where polling stations are required by law to be opened, Tsvetkova explained. Excluded from the list are locations where voting is not recommended due to a high security risk, ongoing military action, lack of necessity, or the impossibility of organizing the vote.
