Shoppers warned not to eat Sainsbury’s olives over fears they contain listeria

Sainsbury’s has issued an urgent recall of black snack olives (file image) (Picture: Getty Images) Sainsbury’s shoppers have been told not to eat popular deli olives after listeria bacteria was found. Supermarket shoppers are urged not to consume tubs of pitted black olives after contamination with listeria monocytogenes. It prompted the British supermarket giant and the Food Standards Agency to issue an urgent recall of the uncooked items. The warning includes the 120g package of the Inspired to Cook by Sainsbury’s Pitted Black Olives.
