Water Levels Drop Further Across Bulgarian Section of Danube River

The hydrological situation in the Bulgarian section of the Danube River remains challenging, the Executive Agency for Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River reported on Wednesday. Water levels continue dropping across the entire stretch of the river, with decreases in the past 24 hours ranging from 1 to 4 cm. The largest drop was recorded at the gauging station near Ruse. Data of the River Surveillance directorate show no new vessels have run aground inside or outside the navigable channel in the past 24 hours. All restrictions on vessel draft remain in effect along the entire Bulgarian stretch of the river.
