Four people stabbed during packed hotel event in Essex as three men arrested

Four people were stabbed during an event at a hotel in Essex overnight, with three men arrested in connection with the incident. Police were called to the hotel on Stifford Clays Road, Grays, shortly before midnight, following reports that a number of people had suffered stab wounds. Around 100 people are understood to have been attending a function at the venue at the time. Officers attended the scene and found four people with stab injuries - the extent of which have not been confirmed by police. Two men from Hackney, aged 24 and 25 respectively, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent. A third man, aged 21, from Enfield, was arrested on suspicion of GBH without intent. Essex Police is now appealing for information from anyone who witnessed what happened or may have captured footage of the incident.
