Donald Trump seems rather annoyed that people are questioning his needless, unpopular, and costly war against Iran. On Friday, he downplayed the seemingly endless war and its costs as “small potatoes for us” and “not a big thing.” “We did Venezuela, and we did this in Venezuela,” Trump continued. “We lost nobody, and this we lost 18 people. And in Vietnam, you lost 100,000 people, and in other conflicts, you lost tens of thousands of people.” It seems odd, or maybe telling, that President Draft Dodger would compare his latest war, which people are already calling a “quagmire,” to the quagmire he dodged in Vietnam. Maybe the Iran war is no biggie for a guy who has used his 19 months in the White House to enrich himself and his family by billions – and whose military-age son still shows no sign of enlisting.
