A joint press conference held by the prosecution service and the General Directorate Border Police here on Monday reported that the shipment of drugs that was seized on September 4 may be worth more than EUR 15 million. The shipment was comprised of about 110 kg of a powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine and about 230 kg of plant material that tested positive for marijuana. The truck was pulled over at the entrance to Burgas. The search found pallets containing gym bags with 340 packages weighing approximately 1 kg each, Burgas Deputy District Prosecutor Svetoslav Marinchev reported. The driver of the truck was arrested, and the narcotics, the vehicle, and other physical evidence were seized. On Saturday, the driver was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to distribute. Due to the large quantity of narcotics, the expert assessment will take time, as it must be determined exactly what each of the packages contains. Only after the expert assessments are complete
