Burgas to Host 2nd Festival of Bulgarian Folklore Ensembles Abroad September 18-20

Nearly 400 participants from around 20 Bulgarian folklore groups from eight European countries are expected to take part in the Burgas Ni Sabira (Burgas Brings Us Together) festival, which will be held in Burgas from September 18 to 20,. said Radoslava Nedyalkova, chairwoman of the Association of Bulgarian Folklore Ensembles Abroad (ABFEA) in an interview with BTA’s BG World section. “These are Bulgarian dance and singing groups established abroad by people who preserve Bulgarian folklore as an important part of their identity and pass it on to the next generations,” she said. According to her, the participants include both groups that took part in the first edition of the festival of Bulgarian folklore ensembles from abroad in Bulgaria, held in Veliko Tarnovo in 2025, and new groups that will be joining for the first time this year. “For us, this is particularly valuable because it shows that our community is growing and that more and more Bulgarian folklore groups abroad are looking
