Over 1,800 pounds of illegally grown marijuana recovered in Homestead, police say

Video released by the Homestead Police Department showed what they are calling a large-scale illegal marijuana grow operation. According to the Homestead Police Chief, the bust was made Wednesday night at an undisclosed site outside the city limits, with an assist from the narcotics bureau of the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office. In the video, dozens of marijuana plants were seen at the site, adding up to more than 1,800 pounds of illegally grown marijuana. It’s not clear if anyone was taken into custody.
