Robert Pattinson is currently in the middle of one of the busiest stretches of his career, bouncing between major studio tentpoles and filmmaker-driven projects with barely a break between them. But according to the actor, that run emerged from a period when things suddenly went very quiet—and forced him to rethink what he actually wanted to do. Speaking to GQ, Pattinson reflected on the stretch following the Hollywood strikes, when he had been preparing to make Adam McKay ’s political serial-killer satire “Average Height, Average Build.” The project, which Netflix announced in 2023 with Pattinson, Amy Adams, Robert Downey Jr., Forest Whitake r, and Danielle Deadwyl er attached, ultimately fell apart before production.
