Amazon’s aspirations to build a fulfillment center in West Oahu will have to wait until at least November, after Honolulu Planning Commission deferred action on a zoning change request that seeks increase allowed building height to 100 feet from 60 feet. The change would enable the company to construct a massive five-story facility, to be staffed by more than 1,500 people and robot helpers.
