Egypt aims to increase daily rail passengers to 4 million by 2030 Egypt is building a 2,250-kilometre network of high-speed electrified railways, modernising its existing 10,000-kilometre railway system. The system is expected to achieve a combined capacity of around four million passengers per day on railways and high-speed trains by 2030. This was stated by Egypt’s Minister of Transport Kamel El-Wazir, as News Agency of Nigeria
